Hey guys, is a 3B good enough to upscale photos into 4k? If so, is it even possible to add that upscaler script into a html file so I could do it from like my phone or other pcs purely in LAN?

Hi πŸ™‚ You just want to upscale them as in just adjust their pixel dimensions, or do you want to use super-resolution upscaling ?

.mrlunk

the latter requires quit a lot of cumpute power wich probably only heavy duty CPU's or even GPU's are needed for.

.mrlunk

Upscaling just the dimensions can be done with gimp and can be batched...

I’m not sure what this is called, but like make a blurry picture look better

.mrlunk

it is possible.

.mrlunk

But your image size will be limited by Rpi mem limits... And it wont be very fast...

YellowDot

When you say not very fast, do you mean like 5-10mins? If so, I could just find a wΠ°y to do it on my pc which will be a lot faster

.mrlunk

I cant say, i never tried it.

If you have a good pc you can use Stable Diffusion upscaling.
