Hello, I turned my PI on after a few months and it won't get past some screen with a lot of information. I will post a photo of the screen in here

callisto_casale

I also don't really know how to look for solutions because I have no idea what this is

andy_s

this looks like dead card. Restore from backup

callisto_casale

How do I do that?

callisto_casale

sorry i'm pretty new to this

andy_s

do you even have any backup?

callisto_casale

I don't think so

callisto_casale

haven't done much with it to be honest

callisto_casale

so i don't think there is a backup

andy_s

well, then if you do not think there is anything worth saving, then just reinstall from scratch.

andy_s

so just follow one of many guides for first steps

callisto_casale

uhhh

callisto_casale

alright i guess

callisto_casale

i'll try to find one

<@456538086453805068> any tips on when my SD cart is RAW instead of FAT

callisto_casale

i tried to reformat it but it keeps failing

andy_s

then it is dead

andy_s

and you need to get new1

oops.se

Generally, the file system of your SD card turns to RAW due to the following reasons: - The file system of your SD card gets damaged or corrupted - The file system of your memory card is missing - The current file system of your SD card cannot be recognized by the computer - Your SD card is not properly formatted with a file system

andy_s

well, considering his pi was off, it looks like generic hardware effery

And if you can't format your SD card, use a SD check program to verify that its working properly. https://www.maketecheasier.com/check-sd-card-speed-capacity/

andy_s

oh yeah, those magic 20TB USB thumb drives

andy_s

you can actually write 20TB... in few weeks...
