I want to host a wifi server from my rasberry pi at school and then charge people to use it

I would charge 5 for a whole week of use and have already got people asking

You would need a few things for this
1. An ethernet cable CONNECTED to the main school router OR a SIM card and its adapter (with its controllers and shit)
And 2. A power source where the internet wont be disconnected
Ao if you want to sell internet, you will have to either bave school consent and connect it to their router OR pay for ur own sim card

Oh this brings me back to my high school days when we found a server with open permissions… dumped a whole whack of games on it, then within a week everyone knew about it and was playing them… sadly I didn’t have the wits to sell that information first! There are better ethical ways to make money!

I’m assuming your just trying to get past the schools firewall?
Just create a proxy server on your pi that’s on the schools wifi and sell the proxy details… track to usage in the proxy to make sure people aren’t passing it on, or have auth based proxy. Then you don’t need to worry about paying for a sim… at the same time.. you’ll have to learn how to get past the schools restrictions… vpn maybe? ssl-vpn to get past most vpn blockers… now you can use the already great infrastructure the school has.
All this being said, it ain’t gonna take long to get in trouble… esp if there is money involved!!
