kali linux wifi not working

every time i click on NetworkManager, it says “device not managed”, making me unable to connect to wifi. i tried to restart NetworkManager through the terminal, the only thing it outputs is: Failed to restart network-manager.service: Unit network-manager.service not found.

which os is this?

Only the Wi-Fi is down, I can connect with Ethernet but i only have a short cable and I have to be in the same room as my router
