Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB Coding

I was planning to get one of these in order to just have a nice Pi that would allow me to code in most languages C++,C#,C, java, python, etc. Would the 4B 8GB be able to do this? Or does its OS/arm/power prevent it from being viable?

just was wondering which is the best OS that supports things like VSCode, eclipse, QtStudio, etc.

VScode has SSH plugins and agents for most OS and the others I don't know but susspect it is the same.

do you have a preferred OS?

I see most people just roll with raspberry pi OS
