Hi, I have my RPI on my local network with a local IP, I can ping 8.8.8.8 from the pi but can’t ping the pi from other devices. The pi is running nginx and moonraker for 3d printing. What could be the issue?

There is several issues that can hinder this, but you haven't posted any info about your network setup.

Thanks for your comment. What info could I provide? I am still a beginner learning 🙂 I have a router that’s provided by my telco company. I have my macbook and my RPI connected to it through wifi. I did’t do any other setup or config changes

You supplied a minimum info and the people here helping you do it out of free will. And if you supply the needed info you will get help faster. And I normally dont reply to topics of the type "Its not working, help". Back to your issue: If both uses WiFi it could be "Client isolation" that some WiFi network has.

The other issue is if you have installed a firewall on the RPi

Thanks, I will check those and report back 🙂

Hi, I just figured it out. My router was generating a 2.4 and a 5 GHz Wi-Fi with the same SSID by default 🤦‍♂️ the pi connected to the 2.4 and my Mac to the 5. I turned off the 5 GHz and now everything works 🙂

That was strange! The Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz and the Ethernet is bridged together = The same network. Check if there is a update available for your router.
