Enviromental data gathering from using wheelchair and Raspberry Pi 5.

Hello. I've recently embarked on a project using the Raspberry Pi 5 to gather environmental data while on the move using my wheelchair. Goal for collecting data is to measure levels of comfort while moving around city. My aim is to capture accurate and relevant data without investing in resources that won't serve my purpose. Although I'm relatively new to this field, I've done some preliminary research. However, I'm seeking your advice to further refine my approach. Could you recommend the types of sensors best suited for mobile environmental data collection with a Raspberry Pi 5? Additionally, are there any particular learning resources you'd suggest that could help me avoid common pitfalls and unnecessary expenses? What kind of environmental data are you looking for? - Temperature - Humidity - Pollen - Dust particle - Gases of different kinds - Air pressure - Movement, tilt, acceleration And just collecting data, naaaa. What is your goal with collecting data? And there is a lot of sensors that is easy to start with and that is the digital sensors, that will omit the need for A/D converters and calibration. And look for I2C sensors, quite easy to start with.

Vibrations is a value you can calculate from measuring acceleration in different directions.

I want to turn my wheelchair in to mobile lab, and use it for different purposes related to accessibility such identifiaction of weak accessibility points in city.

And what are your skills in electronics (Soldering, making PCB, reading schematics)?

And I can see that this idea could be a valuable tool for plp in wheelchairs to highlight needs for improvements.

Thank you! (Un)fortunately I need to buy few sensors at one time. I have little knowledge about reading schematics, and making PCB. But on other hand I have easy access to experts in such areas

I am also a wheelchair user, doing projects related to solving accessibility issues. For example we've been successful in 3d printing tactile maps for buildings
