Raspberry pi acting weird after power outage

Recently, my power went out for quite a bit, and when I came back, and turned my pi on, all my files became read only, and I am unable to download or update anything on the pi. Has anyone heard of this, and does anyone know what to do?

oops.se

Read only = If the filesystem believes it is to damaged it can go into "read only", run a filesystem check. The other reason can be that you have no room left in the filesystem, run df -h

baljeetoff

results of df-h

baljeetoff

How can I undamage my filesystem

baljeetoff

or how can I run a check

oops.se

fsck.ext4 can only be run on a unmounted filesystem. So it depends if you have another Linux computer or if you can create a bootable USB stick with "Raspberry Pi OS" and start on that and then insert the SD card and run the fsck.ext4.

baljeetoff

I dont have another linux coimputer

baljeetoff

is tehre another way to fsck on a root file

oops.se

Noop, its like to check the shoe sole if your one legged.

baljeetoff

ok

baljeetoff

I have a different plan

baljeetoff

theres not much on the pi

baljeetoff

so is tehre a way I can just factory reset it?

baljeetoff

would that work? <@796000224690307072>

oops.se

Yes, just run "Raspberry Pi imager"

baljeetoff

oh hok

baljeetoff

would this fix the corruption

baljeetoff

or is the corruption in the sd card itself

oops.se

IDK

oops.se

A file check would have shown that

baljeetoff

rip

baljeetoff

<@796000224690307072> I seemed to get lucky, reinstalled the firmware, and its sucessfull connected to my printer

hope no storms come back again 🤞
