RPI5 Power Adapter

Hi all.
Prob. a billion topics about this but i wanna know if this power adapter is suitable for the RPI 5?

it's 25w, 5a so it must be 5v (which Is enough for the pi 5) but then it says 120v which is just plain lying. it's throwing me off unless they mean input voltage which would make sense. but still if they have spelling mistakes like that I wouldn't trust them
so that specs check out but they probs have a pretty big spelling mistake which is very hard to make and especially hard for it to go through a good check of the managers or whatever. so you decide

im sure all plugs deliver power right? and i thought that extra 2 watts was just to be extra sure right?
Noo, all power supplies doesn't support the PD 5A/5V, they support 9V/25W
And where is the 120volt from?

2 watt more is probably power losses in the cable and protection circuit. But that is my guess!
i mean if your not pushing the usb ports to the limits, overclocking the pi a lot or have an insanely long cable your probs fine with 25w right?

Hi, I would strongly reccomend buying an adapter 5V 6A which is avaiable in the market, make sure that it also supports PD
you should probably check whether it has the right ampere, cause the last time i used a 5v 2A adapter, the pi shut downed almost immediately after the boot screen

I'm not convinced those chargers will do what you want it to do.
The output voltage is described as
"DC 5VA 9V2.78A 12V"
to me, that says it will do
5V 1A
9V 2.78A
12V 2A
the 5VA is the key, VA=VoltAmp
If the Voltage is 5V and the total output is 5VA then it's only 1A
nowhere that i can see says it will do 5V 5A
Rasp PI needs 5v5A for its best functionality, i've searched many places and I've not seen a single adapter which offers the exact sepcifications (at least in my country) the closest one i found was 6A 5V which is sold commercially
i can see that but this one is (atleest i think from the description) 5v 5a, well i mean its 25w and it says 5a so if we do the maths it has to be 5v
so apart from the pd this ones fine
where does it say 5A?
I've checked the link and I think that charger might do the job as long as you don't connect anyother components to the pi with no separate PSU for it

in all honesty, i don't think it will even turn on a Raspberry Pi 5.
Even a 4 wouldn't work properly on 5V 1A.
It does say 25W, which is what it supplies on 9V and probably 12V.
You're better off getting the Official Power Supply if if is available.

I always ignore anything labelled as sponsored from Amazon. it's normally crap.

the issue with you using an adapter less than 3 Amp is that it cannot give enough power to the pi to run it smoothly, and the worse thing is, it cannot even give power to the SD card which it can boot from
If the power adapter doesn't support PD (Power Delivery) then will the Raspberry Pi 5 throttle down the CPU and signal to the USB that it can't deliver more than 600mA .
can you change that using terminal?

the way i interpret the documentation is that you shouldn't try to use it on anything less than 3A.
Everywhere i read, min 5V 3A and if you want more power for your USB Peripherals, you need the 5V 5A USB-PD supply and cable.

You omitted "PD" in the statement and that is why opose that.
the PD is only for the 5A supply, the 3A supply is not PD
and my comment was in reference to using something under 3A.
You can't connect a 5V 1A supply and expect the Pi 5 to step down and work.
