Raspberry Pi4 drops WLAN connection when downloads are running.

My raspi4 drops its WLAN connection when I use my external ALFA USB adapter for downloads. I use the original power supply and an USB alfa adapter with raspap as a wireless repeater. My pi is overclocked. Is this a power issue? How can I fix it? I will disable the overclock right now and try again. Is there any other solution? Thank you in advance.

it just completely disconnects?

gore1337.

Yes. And doesn't reappear I have to manually reboot my pi.

k9t33n

strange

k9t33n

have you tried without the overclock?

oops.se

Start checking the logs. journalctl | grep Undervoltage

oops.se

Or journalctl | grep disconnected that will get the time when the Wi-Fi disconnects and then you can use the switch -S --since=DATE Show entries not older than the specified date to see if there is any reasons for the disconnect.

gore1337.

OK I check and report here thank you

And you posted the filtered log and that isn't saying anything else than disconnected.

gore1337.

I didn't get the part with the switch. How do I do that?

gore1337.

And what should I format? Which part?

gore1337.

gore1337.

Which switch to use to get unfiltered messages?

oops.se

journalctl --since "2024-01-15 15:00"

oops.se

Example

gore1337.

OK ty but you said sth about filtered messages?

gore1337.

So which switch to use to show you the information you need

k9t33n

just give the entire logs

k9t33n

but only at the time frame of what happened

gore1337.

When I troubleshoot I copy the error text and when people is posting pictures I need to type the error from the picture and to read a picture I need to download it, open it in a picture program and and: And since I'm not employed or get any monetary gains from helping here I have drawn a line how far I investing my time in helping people. So I expect people to supply info in a workable format ! I have been working in support earlier and when people understood that if they supply info in the correct way they get help extremely fast.
