Hello, I am trying to use this display (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804988932499.html with my raspberry pi zero 2 w, but need a conversion board that will convert the 40 pin to hdmi. Are there any boards that will help me do this? I am looking for something like this (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2218 ) but something that will work with my display and my raspberry pi. Thanks in advance.

Have you thought of making your own? It sounds fun tbh.

Check the display's Input/Output Terminals

abelianpizza

Ah, Well I am not a very skilled hardware engineer so that's probably not possible at the moment haha.

_krazy.

And also make sure if you're going to get an adapter to check if it's compatible with the display, I've read that some adapters don't work as intended for every display.

abelianpizza

Yeah

abelianpizza

The thing is, I am not very well versed in display standards so I am kinda lost on which ones I should be using.

abelianpizza

It seems like different adapters have different functions assigned to the pins, so I am not sure which one I should use

_krazy.

As long as display's terminals are available, finding a proper adapter oughtn't be hard.

abelianpizza

Hmm, so the display seems to have ILI9341 drivers... could that help in finding the right one?

abelianpizza

the adapter also has to match the software right?

abelianpizza

Oh okay

abelianpizza

So if i buy adapters that match the i/o terminals it should work right?

_krazy.

Yep

_krazy.

And even better give [this](https://sites.google.com/site/lcd4hobby/lvds-cables/e-40-pin-cable ) a read, it's great.

abelianpizza

Oh cool

_krazy.

"Usually GND pins are "fingerprint" of type of cable we must use with. Always check twice or more to be sure."

abelianpizza

Hmm
