Pi is getting stuck on boot

So i just got a raspberri pi 4b, got an sd card set up imager and hit go in burning the card with the imager
after its done i pop it in the pi and hook it up to a monitor and plug it in
and it gets stuck on the opening screen, with the small raspberry, and under it is a small text

what did i do wrong?
is the green light flashing in a repeating pattern?
no only the red one is on

This is with no SD card as the tutorial suggested
thats a bad sd card
try reformatt it, you can do this in the imager by going using "erase" instead of an os
do this then reflash it with raspi os 32 bit
i said it above the image that this is what the raspberri produces with no sd card
New phenomenon...
When I plugged it in this time it got a bit farther, seen some random blinks on the green led

try reformatting anyway
it's a general solution that can do a lot
if that doesn't work then try a usb stick
reformatted..now it doesnt find the kernel image...
have you put the kernel image back on after you reformatted?
just gave the command to the imager to image again

That SD card has all signs of a BAD SD-card.

i just bought the damn thing
thats no warranty to anything, depending on where you bought it it was crap from the beginning (for example aliexpress)
i bought it from a hungarian big box store Media Markt
also i tried to insert the sd card when it was running and complaining that it doesnt have an sd card in it
it tried to boot it...got to the welcome screen and got stuck
also intresting note that every time when i tried to boot the sd card image i got splash screens that were basically a rainbow mess then it got stuck on boot
i dunno if its important
mistery is somewhat solved
found a super old and shitty pendrive....burned it with an image
and it boots fine
slow mind you because the pendrive is not a high quality but it boots
it got me in so far as the setup where you select your country and region and keyboard layout
its kinda stuck after that..prolly because it needs to write to the shitty pendrive and load gui from it
i can move the mouse tho
So I got it to fully set up with the crappy pendrive
Its slow as molasses soaked in more molasses but it works
what do you guys think,

tried it with my usb card reader i get the same error
stuck on the raspberry splash screen
but funny enough on my big linux machine it registers ,reads fine tho
and how can i make sure the next card i buy isnt crap

then imaged with the same image and imager as the crappy pendrive(that works)
i dont have any rules. just get from a trusted website. you can get preimaged sd cards from raspberry pi retailors if you really need to
also, next time should i try buying a nice pendrive and run with that (higher chance of success?)

i have an ssd in an usb enclosure 250gb...kinda overkill
and it will be limited by the transfer speed of the usb cable and connection tho

also i salvaged the sd card out of my mp3 player its a 32 gig one,it apparently likes it
it imaged and booted fine
