Tried two different sd cards, formatted in cmd , used imager, etcher, different laptops, only thing I haven’t tried is another official psu, I only have the one or iPad cable, tried that same thing, no display, had 8 green flash’s then did sd boot effortm, now power on two lil flashes then solid green n nothing displayed

k9t33n

ok first whats your power supply like?

jmad420

Standard psu from kit

jmad420

This pi was working, it is like 5 year old

jmad420

k9t33n

that could do it

k9t33n

pi4?

oops.se

You need to connect a display to investigate the issue

oops.se

Thats electronics, it works and then it doesn't work.

k9t33n

ok so itd be a lot easier if you have a display. so maybe you could lend one? use one from school/work this is infact @oops.se so not to take his credit

k9t33n

we both highly suggest that

jmad420

Different hdmi?

jmad420

Can you confirm the blink pattern seems fine? Like I mentioned tinned before it was the 8 blinks, I reflashed it multiple times and now it does what my video shows

k9t33n

1. i need to know the pi model to discuss the led blinks 2. a solid green is very difficult to troubleshoot without a display 3. depending on the pi model it can be either micro hdmi or hdmi

jmad420

Rpi4 b

oops.se

Do you have a display connected to the Raspberry Pi?

oops.se

The video is to short!

jmad420

Had hdmi connected, no nothing,

jmad420

I’ll upload the whole process when I get home

jmad420

Currently, no display, and unsure if it is booting, maybe I try lite os again and try ssh

k9t33n

ok

oops.se

You should get video output on HDMI0, that where the boot messages is ddisplayed

oops.se

If you don't get any video output at all it is probably a broken Pi

k9t33n

very likely if it's 5 years old

oops.se

I have 10years+ that still runs. It can be so many factors.

k9t33n

wow.

jmad420

Hmmmm

jmad420

I am going to try to find another hdmi cord to try gotta find it first…put it in a spot I’d wouldn’t forget…….

jmad420

In port 1

jmad420

No hdmi connected

jmad420

No sd card

jmad420

Gave@pi to my buddy to try with different cables and psu cable, same result, he took same sd it boots no issue in another pi, when same sd is used on this pi 8 flashes

k9t33n
