how can i turn my raspberry pi into a retro console to play games from old consoles such as the N64, Wii, GameCube and some stuff
which os do i pick
in a micro SD card get Retropie

there are several options so choose whatever yours are and for the while get a wired controller as you will need it to assign buttons

the cable is real unstable

Assign the buttons, go to the configuration connect to your local wifi
Then get the ip
And connect it (windows) \\IP

You can't use a laptop monitor as a monitor without additional devices.

thats why i gotta use tv
ok i got the controllers mapped
now let me get my roms
but since the retropie drive is ext4 i gotta make an ubuntu bootable usb and use it to access it and write the roms
oh wait i deleted my ubuntu iso
