Hello, I am recently trying to power my RPI 4 with a buck converter, going from 24v to 5.1v. When i plug the power supply from RPI there is no sound and every LEDs are flashing correctly. When i use my USB C cable from my buck converter to the PI there is a little sizzle noise comming from the USB C port. All LEDs are also flashing correctly https://i.imgur.com/8m5yV08.png

And it is no danger with "Coil whining" it is just annoying.

I was about to say, i figured it might be something about the magnets - but i was not sure.

Is there any fix for this?

lilnutti

I am putting it inside my 3D printer with fans and such, so i'm for sure not gonna be able to hear it.

Changing the inductor or/and changing the frequency of the DC/DC converter.

So it is difficult to do on a module

Gotcha. I feared i was about to short it or something, but i have been very careful, so i figured it might be something with the magnets, haha. Thanks for the information.

Read the section "Reduction of electromagnetic noise and vibrations" and you will see some other "tweaks" you can do
