its also a bit of a pain when the kano help disappears on the web as its a was an original kano computer kit has anyone experienced this? when i put the kano os onto the microsd and then put it in and power it why does the it: A. have a problem with booting B. no output is happening nor input as its difficult to see C. both the red and green light are on indicating its working yet its not

k9t33n

whats your problem with booting?

jackpotjake8080

thats my drive

k9t33n

and both the and green light being off is not saying its working at all. thats something wrong with your pi or power supply

jackpotjake8080

i meant on 🤣

k9t33n

oh, is it solid on even after a couple minutes?

jackpotjake8080

yep

oops.se

A. A bad SD card or the SD card socket B. That is because of C. C. A steady red LED indicate that you have power on and a flickering green LED is indicating activity. So try another SD card and clean the gold fingers on the SD card with isopropanol to get rid of dirt and grease.

jackpotjake8080

ive been at it all day

jackpotjake8080

k9t33n

Just a heads up, a good one from SanDisk and atleest 32 GB or higher is a safe bet

jackpotjake8080

ah mines 8gb

jackpotjake8080

is that why its not been working?

jackpotjake8080

omfg

jackpotjake8080

thats why

jackpotjake8080

it was not strong enough

oops.se

The minimum for SD card size is 4GB for "Raspberry Pi OS Lite" and 8GB for "full"

jackpotjake8080

ah fair

jackpotjake8080

k9t33n

No 8GB is fine but 32GB is just gonna give you more worth

k9t33n

Yes, youll probably thank me because of it in the future. My pi 4 was limited by space once it was horrible, gave me a little claustrophobia 😂. Couldn't download anything or even update.
