Hello, can anyone tell me why my rp3b+ keeps blinking red light and not showing hdmi output when i install lineage os or other android based os Raspbian works perfectly

mystreem8842

Ok so, anybody knows?

k9t33n

I gotta go for half an hour so just send a pic of the bottom and I'll be right back

mystreem8842

I don't have access to the power supply today, I'll show you tomorrow

mystreem8842

And I was using a normal mobile charger

mystreem8842

Well... I just installed the latest version of lineage The power led stops blinking But still no hdmi and act led blinking in a pattern

k9t33n

What pattern?

mystreem8842

I'll try to send

mystreem8842

video

oops.se

What is the repeating blink pattern in the video?

mystreem8842

Idk

mystreem8842

When i install raspbian it works finely, hdmi output is showing But when i installed lineage the act led is just blinking like this

mystreem8842

Can anyone help me, i have been searching for this issue for 4 months

oops.se

Look at the LED and ...

mystreem8842

And?

thunder07337

Did you download the LineageOS from the official site?

mystreem8842

Yeah

thunder07337

The support but not the installation on a Pi... You need the unofficial version. https://konstakang.com/devices/rpi3/LineageOS16.0/

mystreem8842

I used unofficial version

mystreem8842

What abt emteria? It also shows like that

thunder07337

I don't know Emteria...

k9t33n

its difficult for us to count

k9t33n

2 long and seems like 7 short to me

mystreem8842

Ig it's 1 long because I used the pendrive to boot so it will take some time to recognise

k9t33n

And it keeps that pattern forever?

mystreem8842

Yeah

k9t33n

Raspberry pi 4?

k9t33n

Oh pi 3

mystreem8842

Yeah 3b+

mystreem8842

Ping me when you are replying

k9t33n

>>> If your Raspberry Piā€™s ACT light flashes green seven times, this means that any images you want to load will not. If the ACT light flashes eight times, this indicates that the SDRAM is not recognized and the programā€™s hard data will not be accessible

k9t33n

So double check for me how many times does it flash consistently. Like is that long one always included?

k9t33n

Because on the pi 3 it's not supposed to have different length ones

mystreem8842

Ok

mystreem8842

First time turning on - 3 seconds, Led off for 3 seconds (Starting point)After that - 4 times much faster After that - 7 times even faster Led off for 3 seconds

k9t33n

And repeats?

mystreem8842

Yeah

mystreem8842

Repeat from (Starting point)

k9t33n

4 and 7

mystreem8842

Yeah

k9t33n

>>> If the green ACT light flashes four times, this indicates that the code ā€œstart.elfā€ was not found. Start.elf is a function found at the beginning of the boot folder. If this function is not found, Raspberry Pi will not boot. If your Raspberry Piā€™s ACT light flashes green seven times, this means that any images you want to load will not.

mystreem8842

Wil not?

mystreem8842

Load ig?

k9t33n

Plug your SD card into your computer and in the os section of the imager select "erase"

k9t33n

mystreem8842

Some one told me get the new bootcode.bin, start.elf and fixup.dat and put them on the fat partition

k9t33n

Nah

k9t33n

Just do this

mystreem8842

K

mystreem8842

That's how I flash images

k9t33n

I just had to make sure your doing it correctly

k9t33n

Try uninstalling the imager and reinstalling it

mystreem8842

Mmm

mystreem8842

But raspbian (raspberry pi os) works perfectly

k9t33n

Hmm your right. That's probably not the issue

k9t33n

After you reformat I have no other ideas

mystreem8842

Uhhhh

mystreem8842

Is there any way to access the USB drive/sd card's storage in windows pc/laptop?

mystreem8842

After

mystreem8842

Flashing os

k9t33n

Yeah it should be there once you plug it in

k9t33n

Like normal
