Parts guidance?

I am new to this and want to know what would parts do what and what should i get for my project while not getting really expensive parts. I want to build a small robot with treads or smth and make it so that things can be added on to it like claws and stuff in the future. I plan to put Ai in it too at some point but ill start with a simple program. Like a cleaner bot. But yeah, a small treaded robot for that.
i would suggest a kit if you have no clue what your doing. if you do want to do it properly i suggest looking into a motor board

a pi3B+ seems to be very common for your project

if you own a 3d printer u can make one
when i didnt own a printer i used custome cut acrylic 3mm sheet to make a chassis
Yeah i have a easythreed k7 and a creality ld006
But where would i find the parts stl files
i made mine in solidworks so i got cad files from grabcad. they also contain stl files if author has uploaded them. or u can convert them your self. or search thingiverse.
