drivers for 3.5in waveshare spi lcd on rpi zero

hello people, i tried following the instructions on waveshare's websites and youtube tutorials, but i just cant get the display to work. always a white screen. heres a link to the waveshares wiki: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/3.5inch_RPi_LCD_(A) btw, im using retropie but I tried doing the same on rpi os and still not working
