Basically i. Have a rasbarry pi and need soemone really smart to help me set up a idea that transmits a counter to a small display from a airsoft tracer unit

I just dont know what to use as a reciver
Pretty much yeet the signal from the tracer whenever the light went off it transmits that data ti make a counter go up
Couldn’t this be done easier by detecting when you’ve pulled the trigger
Then it can be theraticoly on any thing
I want to be able to just grab the data through Bluetooth and display it on a little display in my goggles

IMO you should just use an arduino or a microcontroller w/ screen and a sensor or button at the back of the trigger guard
Some advices:
- Don't start with a advanced project as a beginner.
- Divide the project into smaller parts and start to gain skills in the parts before combining them.
Example:
- Measure velocity
IR
- Compute the measured velocity inte a human understandable value
Raspberry Pi Pico
- Transmit values wireless
Bluetooth serial
- Display value
OLED display
And then start to search for tutorials on the different parts above.
