LF Help w/Programming Pi

Hi all! I'm looking for help on what to do to program my raspberry pi, I want to make some network security with it. Like auto closing ports, making sure our network has better encryption, defense against attacks.. what Pi do I get, where do I start? Needing some help.

- 3 has no ethernet, 3b does though
- the pi 3 is stuck on 1GB ram whilst the pi 4 you have a selection between 1 GB, 2 GB, 4GB and 8GB directly correlating to performance
- pi 4 is about 30-40% than the pi 3a
apart from a few more those are the majour differences
I'd want PI 4 if that has Ethernet still.

whilst your at it
get a sd card and make sure you have something to power it which can supply 2.5 amps and 5v. a normal charger should do but a power supply is better
if you ever stuck on the power supply stuff or anything you can ask

Pi 4 and pi 5
And I use the pi 5 as my home server
Pi 4 for robotics
I make robots with cameras and let the internet control them 😅

Yes would work fine but it's just a little slower and doesn't have ethernet

I sadly do not have a micro SD card.
the pi 3 a does not have usb boot by default so you would need one of them
and a micro sd card reader

This is a pi4. But these are not USB C but micro HDMI ports and 1 USB C for power.

Do you have experience with Linux or networking?
If not, why don't you familiarize yourself with it?
