I have came here as a last resort as I have not been able to figure this out. Hardware Adafruit TFT Composite Video NTSC/PAL 2" Display (https://www.adafruit.com/product/911#tutorials) Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W Wiring: Red > 5v Black > GND Yellow > TV Pad on the bottom White > GND The problem I cannot get my screen to display anything else but a black screen. What I've tried I have tried resoldering and re connecting things several times around. I have also tried several different Raspbian versions. I have tried just about every configuration that I could find and every combination of them including: hdmi_force_hotplug=0 sdtv_mode=2 sdtv_mode=0 enable_tvout=1 dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d,composite hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1 Any help would be greatly appreciated and I could try anything you have to suggest!

The official documentation: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/config_txt.html#composite-video-mode As far as I remember sdtv_mode= is deprecated as Bullseye and Bookworm uses other drivers (KVM) than the older OS. So edit /boot/firmware/config.txt and /boot/firmware/cmdline.txt according to your specification.

oops.se

And if that doesn't help you need to troubleshoot and then you need a second TV with composite input or a oscilloscope and a second Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W would also help to rule out if it is OS settings or hardware failure in Pi or TV.

peppersonly

Well I’ve tried it in 2 different pi’s but I don’t have anything with composite input

peppersonly

Hmm

oops.se

Then you have ruled out the Pi hardware and then it is display and OS left. And I cant see a reply that you have followed the more recent documentation...

peppersonly

I tried all of this before but i can try again

peppersonly

yeah no luck

peppersonly

maybe ill try a mini hdmi display

I don't open links with tracking info! https://www.amazon.com/3-2inch-HDMI-LCD-Compatible-Resolution/dp/B09XWL474P is enought

peppersonly

What are these?

peppersonly

that come with it

dcscenter

But be careful when plugging it in because it could overheat as it is above the CPU.

dcscenter

You should put a fan underneath

Raspberry Pi gets hot without something to cool it

thunder07337

But he has a raspberry Pi Zero 2, not a Pi 4 or 5.

dcscenter

Ohh

Still posting URLS with tracking info = A bad way to treat people that could assist you.

k9t33n

dcscenter

Me??

k9t33n

No

dcscenter

But I use vpn

oops.se

Have you posted a URL with tracking info?

dcscenter

Nop

dcscenter

Idk

k9t33n

Links like this. When a link has more text after a ? Symbol that's tracking information which websites use to track people who use said link. So just deleting that is just that little bit extra nice

k9t33n

No difference

dcscenter

I deal with cyber security, if the user has my information I don't recommend it..

k9t33n

Vpns do not protect your information about what your doing online to the website owner. They do not even do anything about your data past the VPN server. Everyone can still see all that (if the site is not HTTPS) they just might not know what location it comes from

dcscenter

If you have my information I will see if I can act according to the law or with my abilities

dcscenter

I know, but the IP is not the same
