[SOLVED]No sound on Kodi with Raspberry Pi 4

Hey, ive tried both hdmi outputs and all available audio devices in kodi settings and im still getting no sound.

I don't think the pi 4 passes audio information through hdmi does it? You might have to use the audio jack
But we need more information as mentioned

If a device (TV or amplifier) it shows as an audio device on the HDMI connection and most HDMI chip can transport audio.
Okay I was wrong, I don't know where I got that information from
And I was confused because I think when I read this something was covering up the T on my screen so I read it as "why shouldn't I?"

1. System options
S2. Audio
Select HDMI Option
Does this work even if the device is not detected as an audio device?
I don't remember, but try and see 😉
I reinstalled with the default os and then kodi after, this time the audio jack works on the OS but when i go over the kodi theres still no sound with the same audio device set
So then it is probably a setting in Kodi.

sorry for the delay, havent had a chance to get back at it until now but it worked. launched kodi with pulseaudio enabled and sound was working. thanks
