Thank you

theguywhoschaase

so much

theguywhoschaase

I dont have a arduino

oops.se

Search for the chip used in the shield and pco and you will find out how to use it

theguywhoschaase

Ahh the mistake i did is that i have a raspberry pi but this is for ardunio

theguywhoschaase

thank you kind sir

oops.se

You can use it with a Raspberry PI, but you need to use du-pont wires. A shield is the same concept as a hat in Raspberry Pi eco system.

theguywhoschaase

ahh i only have jumper wires

oops.se

Jumper wires = du-pont wires

oops.se

theguywhoschaase

oh yeah i do have jumper wires

theguywhoschaase

so what do i do

theguywhoschaase

i have no soldering

theguywhoschaase

and my display doesnt turn on

theguywhoschaase

i have tried multiple times to turn it on

theguywhoschaase

it connects but display never turns on

oops.se

Im sure if you google that shield name and pico you can find tutorials, if you don't just ask again

theguywhoschaase

okay

theguywhoschaase

every tutorial i look at has different pins

theguywhoschaase

oh i found a tutorial

theguywhoschaase

thanks for ur help

oops.se

This is for the shield you have https://electropeak.com/learn/interfacing-2-4-inch-tft-lcd-display-shield-with-arduino/ and there you can find how the data pins is translated to the display pins

oops.se

But I couldn't find any Raspberry Pi drivers for that display

oops.se

And since that shield has a parallel interface and those for Pi uses SPI so Im unable to assist you further.

theguywhoschaase

Thanks for helping though

blackmage6618

It exists too ILI9341 displays with 2.6 inch display

blackmage6618

Or it is the same size?

oops.se

That is also a Arduino shiled and the question is not about that, please read the question.

blackmage6618

… Back to roots: works the display now?

theguywhoschaase

im getting a ardunio

theguywhoschaase

i cant be asked to do any extra steps

theguywhoschaase

blackmage6618
