Raspberry pi 5 won't play audio through TV

So I have a raspberry pi running the standard os (bookworm) it's not doing much other than running a pihole and and steamlink. Before I connected it to a Bluetooth speaker, it used to output the audio to my TV via hdmi. And now, it's the Bluetooth speaker or nothing. Am I missing something really stupid here? Or have the hdmi settings bugged out? I've checked obvious things like checking the TV is setting to accept input from the pi, completely removed the speakers to see if that would default it back - nope. I know there are hdmi settings but I'm a bit confused about what I actually need to look into to see if there is a problem?

Edit: successfully resolved by installing pavucontrol.
