Doesnt show up Website correctly
Hello, I have a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with a Display.
I want to host a Website in the localhost and then show it on the Display.
To make the Website run, I gotta run 2 different commands (node server.js and http-server) and when I make this using:

Open CV on Rpi 5 very sluggish
Im trying to hookup 1, if possible 2 logitech usb webcam (1920x1080). The camera works fine in vlc and processing for pi but I want to use python and the openCV library. This however does not work that smoothly, the video is lagged and also seems choppy. Anyone know any particular settings I should investigate ? (there seem to be a lot and i'm not that familiar with this) or any other tips to get it working smoothly with python ?

Raspberry Pi 4 Push Button to run program
Hello, i want to use a push button to run a program on the Raspberry Pi 4.
For example, when I just click the button I want the program to run, I don't want the user to keep holding the button, I just need them to press it once and then my Python program will run.
What button should I order (if anyone has any experience) and if anyone has some good circuit configuration to connect the button to the GPIO pins, i'm not that experienced in the electrical side of things.

Raspberry OS locks after source change
Hey all,
So when I change source to go to DisplayPort for example my raspberry pi locks and I'm greeted with the login screen again and once I've logged in it seems the one cli program I had running has closed.
Any ideas?

Pi 5: How to add "lcd_rotate=1" to startup
I have a raspberry Pi 5 with Ubuntu server 23.10 installed with raspberry pi imager. My display is setup vertical so I need to manually do "echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/class/graphics/fbcon/rotate_all". A guide said this:
If you want this to happen automatically when you start your system, you need to modify your boot loader configuration to give it the correct options. In /etc/default/grub add fbcon=rotate:1 to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="fbcon=rotate:1"
(Don't forget to run sudo update-grub after changing this file.)".
But I don't think my setup uses grub right? I've also tried setting it inside "/boot/config.txt" but that doesn't work either.

Powering Pi 5 via USB-C in Gadget Mode and Additional Peripherals
I'm planning to use my Raspberry Pi 5 in device/gadget mode via its USB-C port connected to my computer. At the same time, I want to connect a mouse to one of its USB 3.0 ports.
Given that I won't be using the official Pi 5 charger because the USB-C port will be occupied for gadget mode, can the Pi 5 still draw enough power from the computer's USB-C connection to both run efficiently and power the connected mouse through its USB 3.0 port?
_(Assume my Computer has a USB-C Port that can provide 100W, I am mostly asking if this is within the Pi's capabilities)_

Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 not available on RPi 5/Bookworm
I can't get Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 running on RPi 5/bookworm.
What I did:
- Test the camera on a RPi 4 /bullseye -> working
- Fresh installation of Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit)/bookworm on RPi 5
- Running sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y.
cs@rpi5:~/prg/libcamera $ libcamera-hello --list-cameras ERROR: no cameras availableAlso there is no option under raspi-config -> Interface Options for camera I also set in /boot/firmware/config.txt camera_auto_detect=0 and at the very end after [all] dtoverlay=imx708. Flask_SQLAlchemy doesn't install properly | Python | Linux server | Rpi5
Hello, I'm trying Rest API and I want to make a database using Flask_SQLAlchemy but for some unknown reason when I install it, it doesn't let me fully use the library. Such as functions like Column.
When I try running main.py:
sqlalchemy.exc.ArgumentError: Mapper Mapper[VideoModel(video_model)] could not assemble any primary key columns for mapped table 'video_model'I tried installing using:
pip install Flask-SQLAlchemy sudo apt-get install python3-flask-sqlalchemyBoth worked and output that it's already installed.

Humidity safe sensors
Hi all,
This would be my first Raspberry PI project, but I have extensive experience with embedded systems (10+ years ago), and have 10+ years of professional software engineering. I am currently looking into building a environment control system with a Raspberry, but I have several questions.
## Question 1
This project doesn't require too much power:
- I think 15-20 sensors/switches, persisting the data in some form (SQlite would be great).
- Expose a website with some graphs, and metrics
So it seems a Raspberry 5 would seem overkill, although I could re-use this PI for another project later this year.
Any tips on how to attach so many sensors in a sane way to the PI would also be welcomed.
## Question 2
None of the sensors I found seems to list safe temperate & humidity operating ranges.
Quite soms of the sensors I want to use have exposed PCBs, so I am afraid exposing them to high humidity is safe.
For example:
- Pi Camare 3 NoIR (cannot have any light during cycle), is it safe to operate outside or in humdity that sometimes ranges towards 80-90%? If not, what are some solutions?
## Question 3
What are some ways to package this in a sane way? I mean I don't mind a lot of long wires with sensors coming out of the PI, once it's properly installed it would not get detached/re-attached for long times. However if I want to keep the Raspberry PI out of the high humidity enviroment, I would need to work with long cables. Including a ~2m ribben for the camera (or two).

In regards to Pi's 5 HID Capabilities
I have a short one:
As far as I know, the Pi 5 has two USB Controllers.
I am interested in having SIMILTANEOUSLY one USB Port act as a Host and receive input from another Device (Mouse in particular) and another one to act as an HID device and emulate a Mouse, Keyboard etc..
Can that be done? (I reckon so) In specific, what Ports would provide me the flexibility to use as HID? The Pi 4, for instance, has only that Capability on its USB-C Port. For the Pi 5 I cannot find any information online (if you know where I can find it, some hard manual, post that too so I can use it for the rest of my questions).

how to connect motors for a drone to a battery on a breadboard
Im pretty rusty with raspberry pis as i have been focused on react.js lately. But I have just started a project where I make a drone run on a raspberry pi. I have took out the motors from an old drone I had and stripped the wires so I can just plug them into a breadboard. Can anyone help me be able to control the motor by using a gpio input but powering it with a battery? I can send pictures and elaborate, just ask! Thank you!

Hi. So for school I bought a bread board and I’m supposed to make it so that the led bulb flashes. I have the code and it runs but the led lightbulb doesn’t flash. I have a good feeling it’s the wiring. I’m extremely new to this and any advice is appreciated.

KEA / ISC DHCP per host gateway [SOLVED]
Im using a Pi to run a Dhcp server because I dont want my roku TVs updating on their own, they have no means by which to statically assign an ip and my router / current gateway doesnt allow granular enough firewall controls to allow me to block traffic to a particular domain. This led me to search for a means to control the dhcp to change the gateway for just those matching the specified mac addresses / oui prefix to that of my linux firewall which supports iptables, more than enough to block specific hosts....
What software do you suggest how should I go about it?

pico pi Gameboy video board
Hi, I’m relatively new to pico pi and developing for them. I’m currently trying to write code to convert the video input from an original gameboy to composite video. Currently there are several GitHub accounts with this functionality for VGA output, and though that does work when I tested it, needing two steps for this project seems wasteful DMG>VGA>composite not a great workflow.
DMG>composite should be a bit easier but my lack of skills in programming in this language and confusion on video signals have left me stuck. This project has become less fun as I go on and so id appreciate any help in figuring this out. Here are two examples of the vga version for reference. Photo of my pico running vga.

How to overclock pi
I’m running a Minecraft server for my friends on a raspberry pi 4, and I’m trying to overclock it, because it was timing out everyone. When I try, there is no option in the config (sudo raspi-config) and the things to uncomment weren’t in the config.txt file (location: /boot/firmware/config.txt). I want to overclock it to 2.3GHz if possible.

Project Facilitation using Nextcloud (on Pi?)
I was originally going to install Nextcloud on Raspberry Pi using Kubernetes because I cant afford to build a proper server, so in the future if i needed more resources, i could simply add an extra worker node and expand ad hoc.
over in the Kubernetes chat they said, "Nextcloud doesnt play well with clustering (clones doublewrite > corruption)". So now that i find out this issue, i am starting over.
Im trying to figure out what is the best way to move forward. i have a few options that i can tell but trying to see if theres a better option i missed, or from these options which would be best
my current system is two desktops towers, two Pi4's, laptops
one tower is acting as a windows rdp server for multimedia production. it has one, more powerful, video card
the other tower is linux acting as general workstsation. it has 2 lower power video cards.
so here i can have many screens on my workstation, and offload the rendering to my own little local render farm
the laptop is 2in1 convertable to use as a digital canvas.
